What are managed services?

The managed services model takes a proactive approach to IT support. Through an understanding of the IT system as a whole and round-the-clock monitoring, managed services enables issues and potential problems to be flagged immediately, often before they impact your business.

How does managed services differ from traditional IT support?

Traditional IT support is based on reactive problem solving, when tickets are raised or issues are reported to the support service provider. Managed services support takes a proactive approach and aims to prevent issues before they occur.

Why should I use managed services?

Utilising manged services enables you to ensure your business IT systems are running smoothly when you need them most. By monitoring and dealing with issues before they occur you reduce the risk of unexpected failures disrupting your business, which could cost your business time and money.

Is my business too small/large to use managed services?

Managed services is suitable for businesses of all sizes, we look at your IT system as a whole including all devices, software and technologies you use rather than the number of employees. The size of your business will only impact the number of devices etc, and therefore the overall cost of service.

What does Enliven managed services cover?

Enliven Digital Solutions managed services offering covers the core common devices and services used by businesses, including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, network equipment etc. We will also provide support for any technologies specific to your business such as payment systems or stock management tools.

How is support provided?

The majority of support will be able to be provided remotely, meaning we will just need to connect to your device using a remote support tool, you won’t have to do anything yourself. In specific circumstances we will make on-site visits for support where manual intervention is required.

Can remote workers be supported?

Yes, as most of our support work is carried out remotely we can connect to your employees’ devices no matter where they are located, they will just need to be able to connect to the internet.

What added extras are available?

In addition to support for all core business IT equipment and services, we can also provide back-up solutions and management, to ensure your data is secure in the event of a breach or failure. We are able to offer advice on IT security infrastructure that will work best for your business, as well as full management of updates and maintenance.

What about out-of-hours support?

Our normal operating hours are 9am – 5pm, however for critical systems that are required to be operational 24/7 we do offer emergency out-of-hours support at an additional cost.

How much does it cost?

Pricing for our managed services packages will vary dependent on the needs of your business and the complexity of your IT infrastructure. For a standard managed services offering, assuming standard business requirements an average cost per managed device would be around £15 (excl. VAT) per calendar month.

Will I be tied into a long contract with Enliven?

Not at all, at Enliven we offer rolling monthly contracts so you are not tied into a long term agreement. We only ask for 30 days notice of your intention to end your contract with us.

What if I’m concerned about leaving my current support provider?

It is always preferrable to end a supply contract on good terms, however if you have concerns about your current support provider causing problems for your business when you choose to leave them, there are a few steps you can take. Ensure you have a recent back-up of all your business folders, files etc. and that you have access to those back-up files. In addition, you can remove any remote support software the supplier has installed on your devices prior to ending the contract. Finally try to get hold of copies of all logins and passwords for software and services your supplier may have set-up, so these can be smoothly transferred to your control. If you are experiencing issues with moving away from your current provider, speak to us for advice and assistance.

What happens if I want to stop using Enliven’s managed services?

At Enliven we aim to provide our customers with the best service possible, but if for any reason you choose to move away from us we require just 30 days notice to suspend the contract. We will provide you with all the necessary information associated with your business, including usernames, and passwords for any third-party services so licences can be transferred to your ownership. We will provide any details relating to the configuration of your devices and work with your new provider to ensure a smooth transition.
